Today I would like you to give me a little bit of context for your book.
Context, if you remember, is the background knowledge or information that the audience needs to be able to understand a text.
Some things to include in discussing your context:
setting (where and when the book takes place)
characters (who is important so far)
I would also like you to tell me a bit about the beginning of your book, or the hook and introduction. How does your book begin? Is it, in your opinion, a beginning that is good enough to keep you reading? Why or why not?
